I feel a rant coming on...stay with me...?

Prayer requests!!! Why do people ask for prayers on Yahoo Answers? ';So-and-so is really sick, would you pray for him?'; If you really cared about this person, you would be spending time with him in his hour of need and not sitting on your a** on the internet. What really goes through your mind? You answer a few questions, then throw in a prayer request, then go back to answering questions again? How can anyone take this seriously? It's ridiculous. So-and-so's health obviously isn't as important as you getting to the next Yahoo level so you answer more stupid questions.....

I feel better now....thank you...I feel a rant coming on...stay with me...?
eat a hot pocket, sweetie...it will soothe your pain...I feel a rant coming on...stay with me...?
oh i hear ya on that one!
People feel like the more that pray for something the better. I have no problem with it, and always pray for people who ask. It's not hurting anyone and you don't know the specific situation well enough to judge ';where'; they should be.
Prayer is a placebo, let them have their placebo
I'll pray for you.
On the contrary, heathen, have you ever considered that some of the people on Yahoo! Answers are asking everyone in their community for prayer? This is part of some people's community.

Let's say someone puts a prayer request for a family member that was injured in the VA Tech Massacre. That person is in the hospital, and no; they are not going to sit with that person 24/7. They have to go on with their life. They have to go back to school, back to work. Have you considered that they might be posting from there, trying to take some comfort in the fact that they are not alone, that friends they have met in this community are praying for them and the need they posted?

Have you considered the fact that you have absolutely no right to rant about the way another individual deals with their grief or concern? Please don't condemn people when you have absolutely no idea of the situation they are in.
we allneed prayers some times you feel there is nothing you can do but prayer does help many.
