What the hell does rant mean?

rant?What the hell does rant mean?
Ranting or going on a rant means to speak in a loud, nagging voice about something that ticks you off.What the hell does rant mean?
To 'rant' and rave, is to complain.
to go on and on about a topic...like ';ranting and raving';wehn your mad
I don't have the textbook definition, but in my opinion, it means to carry on angrily. To write or speak with great anger.
Same as venting, when you rant you're usually mad...
To go on an on and on and on and onnnnnnnnnnn talking to ears thats not paying a blind bit of attention
it means to yell and scream and throw a fit.
Plainly it means going on and on about something. Like constantly speaking about it (mostly moaning about it).

';To speak or write in a angry or violent manner; rave.';

';speak in loud exaggerated manner: to speak or say something in a very loud, aggressive, or bombastic way, usually at length and repetitively';
when someone speaks loud and angry , or agitated,or when someone keeps talking about the same thing over and over again hence the phrase rant and rave.
